Promises of Hope’s board has a vision to build stronger communities by providing free educational workshops in the community. Currently, we are providing a 2 hour parenting workshop based on the book “7 Skills Every Child Needs” by Pam Galbraith and Rachel C. Hoyer. Terri Dunderman is a paralegal and brings not only legal direction for Promises of Hope but also her expertise in policies and procedures. Terri’s passion for families inspires and leads us to exploring many options to benefit the community.
Katy Beuerle, a stay-at-home mother, brings her passion for families by researching, learning, and promoting Promises of Hope. Katy and her husband Greg spent many hours creating and designing the website.
Sarah VanDeWege is a teacher at Grand Rapids Community College preschool lab, a student working towards her bachelors degree, and single mother of a 4 year old. Sarah’s connection to MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) brings several opportunities each year to provide workshops.
Kyle Hinton, MA, LMFT, CAADC
Kyle Hinton, a Family & Marriage Therapist, is passionate about advocating for the importance of the father in a child’s life. Kyle brings an important perspective to our mission. Research overwhelmingly depicts the positive influence fathers have over their child’s development and Promises of Hope is dedicated to implement strategies to engage and support fathers.
Sarah Huet, a Consumer Insights Coordinator, is part of creating and co-facilitating the parenting workshops for Promises of Hope. Sarah’s passion for teaching and demonstrating the importance of parenting strategies is evident in her teaching style. Sarah was instrumental in researching the need for parenting workshops and exploring funding sources.
Jodi Thomas is a local real-estate agent that is supportive of our mission and wants to join our cause. Jodi is the newest member of our board and cant wait to roll up her sleeves and begin helping.
